In the second semester the lectures cover the history of European music aesthetics.
Music as a significant complex and contemporarily diverse phenomenon has captured attention in the physical-mathematic elements of sound and the speech, technical, social, artistic and other functions. Music aesthetics in various periods has acquired a number of mathematicians, music theorists, writers and philosophers. Therefore, in the historical part, the lectures focus on these different aspects of music and attempts, based on these sources, to prove what has formed the topic of music aesthetics and what its particular influence has been on the production of music expression media. To present the topics of modern music aesthetics, a comparison of music aesthetics design methods is used (H.H. Eggebrecht, C.Dahlhaus, R. Scruton) and writers on music (F. Busoni, I. Stravinsky, A. Schoenberg, L. Bernstein, J. Cage, and others.). Separately, lectures will be devoted to the development of Czech Music Aesthetics (O. Hostinský, O. Yich, J. Yich, A. Sychra, J. Volek, M. Jůzl).
