The course aim is to adopt an independent critical view of modern social issues and social analysis methodology tools (creating surveys, performing interviews, interpreting research results).

1. Methodology Block III: Sociology research: types of reasearch, Particulars of market research and public opinion, selection procedures

2. Methodology Block IV: Survey issues, Survey and Poll Techniques, Creating a survey and types of questions.

3. Modernity and the Holocaust (Zygmunt Bauman)

4. Post-industrial and Post-modern Society (Daniel Bell)

5. Globalization (Anthony Giddens)

6. Democracy and Civil Society (PŘ Czech Republic)
