Instrumental and song - basic sound communication through a motif and work with a motif (rhythm and melody).

Vocal, intonation and rhythmic assurance.

Curriculum:

Move from detail to the structure.

Creation of a motif, theme.

Syllabus:

Instrumental - every object has its own sound characteristics; a musical instrument has other sound characteristics.

Song - the human body has its own sound characteristics, the human voice has other sound characteristics.

Emotion in the form of sound.

Recommended or required reading:

Folk songs from various nations.

Recordings by jazz musicians.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on: participation in exercises, course paper - creation of and work with a motif.
