Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course aim is to continue discussions on theory issues of transation, particularly in relation to current production practice. Additionally, to create one's own translation of a theatre play or its fundamental comprehensive parts in which the student is guided to not searching for superficial effects but rather theatre effective and stylistically coherent translation.

Mode of study:

Indepedent work on a translation. Investigating stylistic variations. Resolving translating issues (cultural clashes between the original and target). Resolving dramaturgy issues.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Konwledge of a foreign language at least at the maturity level (English, French, German, Russian) is required.
