orientace studentů filmu se zaměřením na dokumentaristiku v současné situaci financování a uplatnění filmových projektů

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Projekt, námět dokumentárního filmu (kdo aktuálně na něčem pracuje). Účast na exkurzi na East Doc Platform (je nedílnou součástí kurzu).

Course contents:

The aim of the module is to expand knowledge about training programs, and market and coproduction forums focused on documentary film. The focus is an understanding of their important postition in the contemporary film industry and what type of projects are appropriate. This may be related to film festivals or those who are not dependent upon them. This is an important instrument which has been taking part in the development of film subjects and significantly enters into the financing of projects and their subsequent application. In participation or in the result of those fora they take greater heed of various key institutions, primarily foundations.

We recommend group attendance of student project teams (director and producer) - not a requirement, the module is open and appropriate across studies.

10:00 - 12:00 Theory section - From the EDP program: If/Then Short Pitch, presentation of short documentary projects https://dokweb.net/aktivity/east-doc-platform/2017/if-then-short-pitch

12:00 - 14:00 Practical section (the practical section requires prior participation in the theory section and text preparations) - continuing the theory introduction and attended lecture and presentation of performance of one's own idea appropriate for international application, or presentation of short considerations of the module topic. Group discussions.
