The lecture aim is to acquaint students with the basic development tendencies, genre nature and particulars of Czech science-popular film from its beginnings to the present. The lecture is chronologically divided into 4 blocks (Fri. 10-13:00, beginnings and pre-war situation, Fri. 14-17:00 the situation after nationalization, Sat. 10-13:00 the pinnacle era of the 60s, Sat. 14-17:00 twilight of the 70-80s to the present). in which it is possible to trace the variety of individual original approaches. Party interests do not remain an issue of the educational use of popular instructional films in educational practice in connection with the production system of the former State film (Comenium, Kratky film, etc.). The lecture is supplemented by a number of film examples which serve as an origin for the analysis of the studied phenomenon.

Grading : 40% attendance, 30% participation in instruction, 30% resume test.
