WHO'S RUNNING THINGS HERE OR PRODUCTION OF POPULAR INSTRUCTIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC FILM
The course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills needed for the creation and production of popular instructional and scientific films. Students receive an idea, the basis of which they think of how to effectively present a sicentific or professional topic for a wide audience.
Assigned idea:
„One of the frequently discussed topics today is self-driving cars. This topic provokes a lot of questions regarding the latest scientific research, new technology with the traditional examples from ethics and morality. Where does the responsibility of the self-driving car end and the driver begin? When does the driver give the responsibility to someone else and when does the car decide? Should the car protect it's driver or prefer others in traffic? Who programs the car and how is it driven? How can the “trolley problem" of moral philosophy help us in self-driving cars? What is moral intuition? What about self-driving cars and AI?
