Learning outcomes of the course unit:

To introduce students with the fundamentals of digital post-production VFX technologies. Students completing the course will understand the basic principles of how to prepare and with whom to complete a project with VFX scenes. Instruction is through presentation and screenings of samples for all covered VFX techniques.

Mode of study:

Přednáška formou prezentace, obrazový doprovod,ukázky z tvorby klasických filmových triků prováděných v kameře a duplikačními technologiemi i v digitální postprodukci. Analýza ukázek s podrobným rozborem. Projekce trikových pasáží,vše za přítomnosti autora většiny těchto ukázek.Diskuse s posluchači o jejich projektech.

Course contents:

This course focuses on a fundamental introduction to the technology and techniques used for creating contemporary VFX shots. This covers story analysis, visual emphasis and support of dramatic situations. This acquaints students with perspectives of VFX effects, their creation by a wide range of media and evaluation. The lecturer guides students through basic VFX techniques in film and television through film samples around the world and cameraman practice. The course also is linked to to the „Photoshp - basics of digital effects“ course. Here the students individually execute simple VFX skits.
