If cinema is to not lose its legitimacy it must step out of its own shadow. It cannot merely be a distribution platform but the artists and producers can appeal for the spreading of the areas for presenting their films. We have to know our audience and think about what more we can offer them. Either through workshops, methods materials for schools, interactive performances, etc.
Completion of the course enables you to think beyond the role of the producer and possibly distributor of original projects in environments which are changing in Filmmaking education and forms of working with the public which are fields that are to be perceived as indispensible tools for opening up roads to audiences.

Instruction will be like in a class. Lectures by two instructors will be supplemented by examples and discussion with class participants.

The completion of cinematography digitalization in production and distribution is only the first step in the complete change of the film audience. Advanced digital technology aims at potential young audiences. This technology often provides for active participation. The cinema space and shared audience phenomenon is merely an anachronism, there are inroads by which we can rehabilitate film culture.
In the first part of the course we become acquainted with mechanisms to collect data and classify target groups using the online platform Stream.cz. How to consider one's audience and audio-visual 'productions' which are offered them. Is Stream.cz considered a cinema competitor (its own) or just another distribution platform for which content needs to be made? We look at online broadcasters with sociologist and Stream.cz content analyst Jakub Šiler
In the second part we convey our inspiring examples of film education and work with the public which opens roads for adorning cinema space for audience who are set upon by the transformation to online space. We speak to the FAMU Doctoral candidate, Jiří Forejt about the importance of the screening situation for film culture.
