Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim is to introduce students to the development of controlling mechanisms in public television for transformation for analysis of risk in its activites in comparison to private television. To prepare students for the steps of an internal audit in practice, or for cooperation or engaging the implementation of an audit.

Mode of study:

Lectures with subsequent discussion on topic in individual analyses of risk according to the given audit.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Orientation in a television environment linked to previous study.

Syllabus:

- International Audit standards

- Internal audit Rules in Czech Television

- Internal audit, task, procedure, conclusions, evaluation, proposals for measures

- Model audits focused on production, technology, finance, broadcast

- Use of distributed films for broadcast

- Co-production costs

- Contract productions costs

- Videoclip broacast (copyright, Intergram)

- Efficiency of satellite capacity leasing

- Czech Television Business systems

- Use of Czech Television technology

- Public Procurement procedures

- Personal information protection (Leg. 101/2000 sb.)

- Archiving documentation

- Collaboration with external colleagues

Recommended - internet - international framework for professional practice in internal audit.

Assessment methods and criteria:

The requirement for successful completion of the course is class participation. If there is an absence a written paper assigned by and with the agreement of the instructor is required.
