Participants will have the opportunity to comprehend the importance of the strategic approach to managing a company, link strategy with the performance of the company, identify the potential contrivance and face it in the resolving of problems in a number of case studies.
The workshop is planned for two half-days. The first part includes the presentation of theory and connection with current needs and issues of the participants and assignments related to resolving the current projects of individuals. In the second part, approx. after 3 - 4 weeks the participants present a proposed solution which, led by the instructor, discussed in teams.

The course will cover the work, implementation and evaluation of managerial strategies in the modern audio-visual environment. It is intended for active production with functioning production companies which need to improve and consolidate their function, improve strategic planning as opposed to project planning.

Main lecturer: Petr Balcar who studied MBSE at Lehigh University, USA and VSE in Prague. Most of his entreprenurial career he has taken part in the directing international companies - Insurance and services, financial investment, as a financial or general director (ex: Deloitte and KPMG). His experience includes complex company strategy management processes, proposals for organization structure, financial managment and control, treasury and cash flow management, managing performanced based on Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Value Based Management (VBM). He lectures at Lehigh University in the USA; the Charles University in Prague and the University of New York in Prague.
