The module aim is to introduce the Czech public to a the unique method of the internation al film-education program CINED whose Czech partner is the Association of Czech Film Clubs. From a methodology standpoint this is an approach where film is the main subject of interest and instruction activity related to it leads to a refinement of the aesthetic senses and skills in the perception of film as a work of art. The CINED method starts primarily in the French instruction system but is broadened to include other types of art which is one of the main pillars of the method. CINED offers films for children 6 to 19 yrs. The approach is adapted leaving the terminologyof film analysis and works with an inductive method (of the strange to the common) etc. The module program is intended for all students interested in film and audio-visual education issues. There will be the opportunity to become acquainted with examples of international programs which cover seven European countries working with hundreds of instructors. The CINED methodis one of those which can be inspiring should we want to work with children and students, and film in the domestic environment of formal and informal education. As well, module activities linked to film will come from practice.
