Course description:
This course provides a theory and technical basis for creating limited dimension printing materials.
The theory section is devoted to the historic and aesthetic basics of Latin letters, development of graphic design in relation to period styles and thought currents and the development of polygraphics. There is also information about current trends in graphic design.
The practical section creates the technical basis for proposal and typesetting of a simple printing in InDesign, working systems with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. There is included exposure to typface cuts, typesetting and formating a single-page document, principally straight setting preparation for digital printing.
