- Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Students completing the course will understand the above problems of microbiological contamination. At the same time they acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of microbiology.

Teaching is conducted in the formo f a lecture with a follow-up practical seminar.

The prerequisite for mastering the course is the knowledge of the natural sciences corresponding to secondary school.
- Course contents:

The aim of the course is acquaaintance to students with problems caused by fungi and bacteria, their determination, means of disinfection, removal procedures, monitoring the effectiveness of disinfection and preventive measures against the effects of fungi and bacteria.

Lecturer:
Blanka Hnulíková is conservator expert of photographic documents in the preservation department of the National Archives in Prague. Her job description is conservation of all types of photographic documents, preventive care focused on funds and collections of the National Archives, cooperation in research projects with testing of new procedures and materials and a wide range of educational activities from consulting to organizing practical workshops.
