Learning outcomes of the course unit:

This module focuses on the overlap of the gaming industry and free art. It notes the technical potential of modern computer games and application of that potential (real-time rendering in a 3D environment, narrative strategy) in the context of contemporary art. The module attempts to include computer games as a part of our everyday experience and free it from other sources of inspiration.

Attendance at studio meetings - Photography and New Media Studio

Course contents:

This module focuses on an overview of current trends in the contemporary gaming industry, independent inticatives and branches for potential development. The module is comprised of two parts:

1) Presentation of current trends and independent games

2) LAN Game Session - playing selected examples in a group.
