Jen Kratochivl presents current trends in new media, post-internet and contemporary exhibition practice with an emphasis on the moving image. In critique meetings, Kratochvil will begin the summary exam project development with the students. Kratochvil will present, during studio instruction, relevant literarture and lectures available on YouTube.

Lecturer CV:
Jen Kratochvil (born 1986) is a curator and freelance critic in Vienna and Prague. Kratochvil co-founded the hybrid coaching and discursive platform „Significant Other“which is based in Vienna. He collaborates with the film dramaturgy of the Rudofinum Cinema. Last year he was the curator of the Photograph Festival #7: Eye in the Sky, in Prague. Prior, she was the curator of PLATO - Platforms (for contemporary arts) in Ostrava where she mainly focused on moving image media. He was a member of the Are curator organization (http://are-events.org) based in Prague. He was assistant curator and co-founder of the Seventh Chapter Space for the moving image (Moving Image Dept. at the Prage National Gallery and is the current curator of the Entrance Gallery in Prague. Allong with the aforementioned long-term projects, Kratochvil has acted as curator on a wide range of exhibits in many locations - in museums, independent spaces and private galleries. He was a representative for the main editor of the cultural magazine Artalk.cz and has also published in Photograph Magazine, Art + Antiques and A2.
