Gag construction analysis - The aim of the coruse is an understanding of the basic principles in constructing a gag; in filming and for theatre from the simple to a structured gag.
- Mode of study:

Intensive all-day course as a workshop taking place at UVS Poněšice. Part of instruction is experience constructing a gag. This is a Winter semester course.
In the 2017/18 school year this course takes place 02.11.2017 - 05.11.2017.
Students are required to take part in the entire lengthof instruction from Wednesday evening until Sunday.
Travel to Poněšice on Wednesday 2.11.2017 in the afternoon.
Instruction ends and departure on 5.11.2017 in the afternoon.
- Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course is intended for all students who have at least some basic acting or directing experience in film or theatre. The group may include up to 15 students maximum.
- Course contents:

Gag is one of the basic expression elements of animated film. This instruction module covers the theory and practical implementation gag.
Analysis and structure of a gag is the subject, which, based on theory information about the procedure of a gagman in several film forms, guides students to their own practical experience with visual comedy.

Analysis of the silent comedy of the most important comedians.
Development of comic forms during the entire film history
Originality of interpretation
Gag capacity and its power corresponding to the time spent.

Every human being is capable of expressive movement, because movment is one of the first manifestations of life. An actor can become anyone desired. Understanding the function of a gesture and the mutual relations of individual parts of the human body is a process founded on the performance of body exercise systems. The pantomime principle of acting (embodiement) is the principle basis for any acting expression.
Group maximum is 15.
