Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course aim is to create space for acquiring teaching experience in the field,assisting, principally in openings and practices for the first-year druing the first semester or at the introductory assembly. Students, in the presence of the instructor, acquire a comprehensive rhretorical experience in the presentation of component segments of the material covered.

Mode of study:

Linked to the course from the first study year or lower study year in Audio-visual studies or other FAMU studies.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Management of partial material and its understanding in overall relationships. Rhetoric skills.

Course contents:

This course is reserved for certifying student assistant teaching in reflective types of courses. They encourage self actualization through independant application of skills gained - as students transition into the world from the safe space of the educational institution. Students must choose, organize and fulfill tasks that will be applicable in their practice as artists or makers of audio visual materials in a wide range of contexts.

Recommended or required reading:

Anthology of texts for the first year. Literature according to the education practice.

Assessment methods and criteria:

The assisting of students in the instruction of lower year students is assessed, in principle always at the side of the lead instructor. Written report - proof in form of minimum page summary.
