The aim is to motivate students in dicussions providing them with guidance in conversations over a variety of topics. This will help consolidate their speaking and other skills.

A range of topics primarily practicing speaking skills. Reading and listening skills may also be included.

Instruction includes reading, listening, writing and primarily speaking practice. Topics are diverse and vocabulary is included.

All three elements are considered for the award of credit. The attendance and in-class presentation are required for credit.

The course is focussed on conversation and is intended for students who speak English at B2-level (upper-intermediate) or above.
To attain a credit you should meet the following criteria:
- 75% attendance
- Participation in discussions
- Complete one mini-presentation on a topic of your choice. (The mini-presentation is informal and involves selecting and introducing a topic for discussion, with appropriate media. The student should provide one or more appropriate texts, videos, audio, images, etc., as a starting point for discussion.)
As the classes will focus on conversation, vocabulary and use of language, there will not be time for studying grammar.
Note: As demand for these classes tends to be high, please only register if you believe that there is a reasonable chance of fulfilling the criteria.
- Students registered for the Monday and Wednesday morning classes will receive instructions on how to get there, so please watch your inboxes.
- Please do not register for more than one group.
- Also, if students do not attend at least one of the first two classes – without explanation – they will be deleted from the register.
