Training opera and concert singers who are introduced to the style challenges and diversity of singing literature.

Course contents
This course accommodates the vocal and technical maturity of the student. The repertoire, that is songs and arias of the Baroque, Classic and Romantic periods, are established by the instructor individually.
Recommended or required reading
Originating in the classical vocal studies (soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass with further divisions ex: soprano-coloratura, -subreta, lyric, melodramatic, dramatic, etc.). There is an appropriate repertoire for each. The instructor's task is the timely recognition of the vocal talent of the student and establishment of the repertoire.

Presentation of song literature assigned by the main course instructor.
