Learning outcomes of the course unit
Lectures over two semesters prepare pianists for professional teaching at all levels of elementary schools, performance courses, seminars and competition juries. Lectures are supplemented in each semester of Teaching Practice providing students, in individual lessons, potential independent teaching of pupils. This course leads to the state bachelor's exam for acquiring teaching qualification where the practical and theory level of the student performance is comprehensively assessed.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- 20 minute inspirational report over a selected study source in interpretation theory.
- Demonstration of acquired knowledge in topic discussions selected at random.
Course contents
The didactics are tied to all instructional procedures including the specification of methodological outputs and the quality of outputs in interpretive fields.The main factors influencing piano study: development of musical imagination, concentration in practice and artistic performance, balancing the rational and emotial elements in the study of a work. Talent diagnostics. Individual phases of piano composition study from the interpretation and education aspects. World professional piano literature and recordings of exceptional figures' lessons. Comparison of one's stance with that of experienced prominent pianists of the past and present.
