Course contents
Course paper - topics: Organology, significant historical instruments, portraits of prominent composers writing for organ, analysis of significant works in organ literature from composition and performance aspects.
Listening to important organ music recordings from all style periods, individual student playing in public performance with discussions by the entire Organ Dept.
Recommended or required reading
Organ literature from the Early Baroque to the present.
