Learning outcomes of the course unit
Mastering the manner of playing in a symphony orchestra, instrumental and performance mastery of orchestra repertoire pieces. Emphasis is placed on flexibility in the technical management of a composition in the shortest possible time, independent preparation of a part in the bowing and fingering aspects. An introduction to the practical side of playing in an orchestra - following conductor gestures, collective interpretation thought, tuning and intonation, the role of the concert master and management groups.

Orchestral literature of the Baroque and Classical periods.
Recommended or required reading
Scores and orchestra parts of Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern music periods. Audio and video recordings of the studied works.

Individual preparation for playing in chamber and symphony orchestras.
