Learning outcomes of the course unit

The Bass Clarinet is extensively used in orchestras and solos and, today, in other music genres. Considering that the difference in students' play can be great, individual instruction paths are chosen. Study literature is distributed according to ability. Etudes and recitals largely come from Clarinet literature. Recitals are oriented towards the more simple compositions intended for that instrument. The perspective of the student and why they wish to play the Bass Clarinet are determinant for the course methodology. Bass Clarinet reed adjustment is instructed. Those reeds are, in their structure, similar to the Clarinet's, but adjustment techniques have their own specific rules.
