Course contents

This course provides students with technique, tone quality, intonation and performance skills to stand up well in competition in soloist, chamber and orchestral music fields. This guides the students to independence and to realize and defend their own ideas. These are the foundations of this instruction. Personal development is a priority. All issues regarding playing the Bassoon are advanced in Pivoňka and Milde Oubradous with an emphasis on those deficiencies which have not been completely mastered. If the Bassoon technique of the student allows instruction in double-staccato begins. This is the principle of the tongue is set on a tone twice in a row in place of one. The second occurs using the air stream. Older shools used the sound „K.“ If the simple staccato is not sufficient enough, the double-staccato is instructed in the following course. Recital compositions are oriented towards works with greater imagination in which the student joins in with their own ideas and thoughts - Saint Saens, Pauer, Bond, Vivaldi.
