Fundamental knowledge of the history and present theatre, mime and dance arts. A good bearing in modern trends and development of the main genres of mime theatre and new circus.
Course contents
Theory instruction in original creations in mime theatre.
Libretto, Libretto and mime, libretto forms and prinicples, libretto and new mime.
The actor and mime, characteristics of acting and the acting sources of mime, background of mime, the mime and his trade.
Space, set design, light design, costuming and music elements.
Background of dramaturgy and directing in mime theatre.
The audience member, theatre as an operation, promotion and P.R.
Instruction in the historical relationships of all original creation components.

Attendance in class, at workshops, exhibitions and group classes with artists and ensembles of modern mime and new circus.
Preparations of course paper and analyses connected to topics of student interests in theory and practice.
Credit conditions and examinations are the successful completion of the test and oral exam.
