Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course aim is the practice of basic skills in working with sound material.

Interactive instruction

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Basic knowledge of acoustics, electro-acoustics, music signal theory and music theory. Assured knowledge in working with Macintosh and PC operating systems.

Course contents

Sterophonic microphone systems, localization in the stereophonic base (speakers, headphones), intensity and phase elements of the stereophonic signal

Recording musical instruments (singing) in the studio

Concert recording

Non-destructive music editing, noting the music directing log

Music recording processing for CD-Audio format.
