Learning outcomes of the course unit
A continuation of 171ZEA1 - expanding knowledge and view of the sound technology issues. Instruction is focused on practice. Part of the lectures is devoted to the basics use and working with DAW ProTools.

- Studio signal level measurement (PPM, VU) and stereophonic correlation
- Spectral characteristics of a sound signal and its measurement
- Direction, frequency and noise characteristics of microphones
- Microphone systems and principles for their use.
- DAW ProTools (Section 1) - introduction to practice
- DAW ProTools (Section 2) - Project edit window, editing, Audio Suite
- DAW ProTools (Section 3) - Plug-in modules (effects), mix and data export
- Conversion basics and archiving various sound signal formats
- Mastering basics
- Ergonomics of managing studio technology, work effectiveness
