Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will be capable of solo and chamber music performances as either the lead of a group of percussion instruments or solois in symphonic orchestra.
Mode of study
Individual and group consultations. Minimum of 6 hours per semester.

Course contents
Part of the main study. Extending basic playing technique - technical exercises, etudes. Orchestral studies - solos and parts of symphony and chamber repertoire. Solo concert compositions for tympani.

Assessment methods and criteria
Initiative and creative approach throughout the semester. Performance in department exams (1st. year). Possible year's concert (in repetition of couse in later years of study - graded by the instructor).
