Learning outcomes of the course unit
The study aim is to acquire and expand abilities and habits needed for interacting with other musicians in a group. Emphasis is placed on flexibility and ability to support, through one's playing, the overall sound. Students learn to play in various ensembles for various styles.
Mode of study
Playing in various types of ensembles.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Individual listenings of music from various periods in Jazz history, with varying instrumentation and style ideas. Instrument practice.
Course contents
Students, throughout the year, alternate in playing in some ensembles with various style focuses. The work of each ensemble, at the end of each period, is concluded with a public concert.

Credit is awarded based on the approach of the student to the study and evaluation of the final ensemble concert.
