Learning outcomes of the course unit

Directly linked to „Analysis of Music Theory Texts 1.“ Students actively become acquainted with additional collections of musicological literature which gradually covers all the main fields of systematic and historical musicology.

Completion of „Analysis of Music Theory Texts 1“. No additional requirements.

Course contents

An obligatory course for Music Theory study. Classes are 1 hour per week in the Summer semester of the 1st year of bachelor's study. The course is linked to lectures in ?Music Theory, History and Systems?. Credit awarded at the end of the semester based on the year's written work. The content is linked to the „Analysis of Music Theory Texts 1“ course. The second semester of study is focused on reading and analyzing music theory works in detail, primarily belles-lettres and short studies focused on the resolving one part of an issue. The other topic range: One's own music theory text (course, year written work).
