Knowledge of the widest range of the latest domestic and foreign compositions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

General knowledge of 20th Century music compostions in Bohemia and around the world.

Course contents

A description of the instruction material originates in the course assignments of individual students. Each student is obligated, during the semester, to at least once present a paper and participate in discussions about the papers of other students. At the end of the year each student submits a course paper documenting in written form the results of their analysis.

Assessment methods and criteria

Credit is awarded based on participation in class, development and presentation of a semester paper which is presented in class.

Overall grading is comprised of 60% for class participation and 40% for the paper presentation.
