The instruction focus lies in the study and analysis of selected compositions representing the main currents of music of the first half of the 20th century.

During the second half of the semester the students independently analyse a selected composition from the first half of the 20th century. Instruction material originates in the assignments of individual students. Each student is required, at least once during the semester, to present a paper and participate in discussions on the papers of other students and others presented by the instructor.
