Learning outcomes of the course unit
Recognition of basic theory works of the past and mainly of the present related to the analysis of music works and music compositions.
Mode of study
Lectures and analyses of presented works. Students´ home study directed by instructor.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Regular participation in lessons and active participation in discussions. Study of assigned study literature for the final test.
Course contents
Golden section, Fibonacci series.
Symmetry, interval cycles.
Tone groups, classification and use.
Dissonant characteristics, chord combinations.
Imaginary tone.
Basic concepts of kinetics.
