Exercises with the aim to expand, improve and develop composition skills in working with music.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Submission of a well-developed semester paper.

Course contents

Exercises of the composition techniques in vocal and instrumental polyphonic, modal and tonal harmony, tonally expanded harmony, working with pitches in dodecaphony, serial and multiserial methods, modern modality, application of traditional and moder meter-rhythm principles, working with polyrhythms, polymeters and multimeters, creating tectonic structures according to assignment and individual level of maturity - in connection with the topics of the main study course; Music Theory - Classification.

Assessment methods and criteria

Credit is awarded for completion and submission of a number of composition exercises assigned and defined by the instructor.
