Learning outcomes of the course unit
Teaching students to preceive the basic elements, levels and structure of a stage work based on descriptions and analyses of observed performances and the work of individual artists.
Mode of study
Classes, discussions about viewed performances and production recordings, written review.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Continual monitor of productions in theatres in and outside of Prague.
Course contents
Identification of the individual elements of a stage work and their recognition in a specific production.
Recommended or required reading
Literature will be assigned according to specific needs and goals.
Assessment methods and criteria
Class participation. Graded written papers. During the semester on-going monitor of theatre performances and their review is required.
