Syllabus:
An investigation of the basic parameters of space and its dramatic possibilities is enriched by the interpretation and demonstrations of the basic types of theatrical space during various historical and stylistic periods. For directing students, it is important that they foster a sense of and feeling for the dramatic space contained in the text, and that they seek its scenographic form. They familiarize themselves with the possibilities of the technologies and materials used, with an important chapter covering lighting. The climax of the seminar is the preparation of a scenographic/directing conception for a selected dramatic text. It is in this phase that the students are familiarized with the specific artistic questions of scenography and its modern trends.
