Learning outcomes of the course unit
To familiarize students with the technique and artistic quality of light as a creator of space and medium of meaning in a theatrical production.
Mode of study
Course combining lectures and classes.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Passage of the Bachelor's exam.
Course contents
Curriculum:
- lighting techniques and their mastery;
- light and space;
- light and decoration;
- light and the actor;
- light as a dramatic factor;
- light as an artistic factor;
- light and dramatic time.
Syllabus:
Through the course organized in cooperation with the Department of Stage Design and an external specialist (light designer), directing students learn how to use light as a dramatic and artistic factor in a theatrical production both from historical and contemporary examples and from real practice.
