To introduce student to the various movement styles and genres in relation to acting tasks.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Continuation of 201TAN1, 201TAN2 and 201TAN3.

Course contents

Syllabus:

Instruction leads to differentiation between genres and dance styles. To varying degrees it involves mastery of skills, expanding one's dance repertoire, developing partnering, work with costumes and props (spurs, cane, tophat, fan). To some degree, the work in the semester follows the topics of acting work.

Assessment methods and criteria

Credit is awarded based on activity in exercises (80% attendance) and final summary work - choreography.
