Learning outcomes of the course unit
Recognize one's spoken word and use it.
Recognize one's spoken Czech and use it.
Learn to hear and listen.
Learn to speak in the sense and logic of things
Learn to speak with expression and expressively.
Learn to speak to someone (and to oneself).
This all based on appropriately selected texts, predominantly of Czech provenience.
Mode of study
Regular practice classes mainly one-to-one. Analysis of rehearsals and summary exam. Discussions over the recommended literature.

Functional speech listening skills and ability in functional speech.
Communicativeness.
Interest.
Basic talent and education.
Course contents
Systematic work from class to class and intensive preparations at home on a selected text or texts.

Credit is awarded based on: class participation, attendance (75%), paper and disucssions over the recommended readings.
