Learning outcomes of the course unit
- Create impulses for general recognition of the importance of the psychological foundations of optimal functional individual vocal exercises,
- create the basics of vocal and psychosomatic condition of the individual; the need to induce the vocal exercises through a psychosomatic corresponding system. A harmonically tuned functional organism (in the sense of the harmonic interplay of a healthy, life-giving, mental, somatic and vocal event),
- a means for primarily conscious mastery of breath, which renews the harmonic balance between the body, thought and emotion,
- to understand the mechanism of natural (miscellaneous) breathing and its relationship to thought, muscle and emotion, that is, induce the principle of self-awareness and to attempt an integration of the rational, sensible and emotional mind,
- to warrant the reality that the voice is a communication of the quality of the human psycho-somatic and co-creation of an overall expression of the individual,
- vocal quality is reflected in the harmonizing of the consicious and subconscious life of the individual.
Mode of study
- Solo and group vocal instruction, classes, analysis of student written reviews, example analysis, recordings.
- Develope vocal skills, primary focus on the development of spatial and mass perception - ex: body mass - in vocal technique exercises, this covers conscious work with the voice and not merely imitating the instructor voice; through audio analysis it is possible to touch upon the interplay in linking body tension and the psychosomatic.
