Preparations for a performance. Genesis of ideas. Acquiring information about the viewed piece.
Mode of study
Classes on production analysis from a historical viewpoint. Searching for sources of inspiration, historical parallels and using source material.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
203DSK1,2,3 lectures.
Course contents
A course over individual theory writings originating in the study of resource material from museums and archives (sketches, photographs, manuscripts, critiques). Preparations of written passages at each class. Oral analysis and practice debates. Basics in the collaborations of a director and set designer (Hofman - Hilar, Troester - Frejk, Radok - Svoboda).

Selected passages related to bachelor's assignment tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
75% class attendance. Independent creation of the course paper (approx. 15 pages of text).
