- Study of set-design theory is to introduce the current issues and interpretations of the study and set-design.
- To introduce the origins and basic principles of set-design and set-design works.
Origins, ideas, forms.
Natural and artificial „reality“.
Space - speaking - music.
- Constants - constant elements and components of set-design.
Space, Mass, Time, Movement, Rhythm, Lighting, Sound, Energy, Idea.
Mode of study
Lectures, Text analyses. Set design and visual arts theory. Course paper on a given theory topic.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of Fine Arts History.
Course contents
Renaissance and Baroque theory essays.
