Learning outcomes of the course unit
- Fundamentals of music and sound theory and creations as a part of theatre expression - the path to the dramaturgy of the sound element of as staging.
- Sound and tone, music as the crown of the organization of tone material in time, strength, pitch and color.

Instruction, discussion.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
A good bearing in music notation. Audiatory and rhythm requirements.
Course contents
Sound as a part of theatre expression. Basics of music theory as a part of the acting profession in alternative and puppet theatre.
- Basic music concepts, pitch organization of tones, time-space of music, color space of music, phrasing, assisting recital markings, bearing in a score.
- Introduction to music forms.
- Introduction to theatre sound technology issues.
- Issues in sound recording and its editing on a PC.
