Learning outcomes of the course unit

  1. Improving personal painting experience and techniques.
  2. Developing the personal ability to interpret the assigned tasks in painting.
  3. Cultivating skills of expression in the artistic preparation of set design tasks.

Mode of study

In regular studio exercises, the course instructor corrects drawing and painting studies which increase in difficulty and are individually assigned according to prior artistic instruction.

  1. Drawing - architecture, landscape, still life, drapery, a portrait, figure, nude.
  2. Painting - architecture, landscape, still life, drapery, a portrait, figure, nude.
  3. One's own interpretation of reality through painting, experimenting.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

  1. Basic knowledge of drawing.
  2. Creative ability.
  3. Ability for reflection.

Course contents

Curriculum:

  1. Assigned or personal theme of a student, their own painting project - picture or picture cycle.
  2. Painting project, installation with the possibility of a theatrical event.
  3. Consultation on the artistic preparation for diploma work.

Syllabus:

The student should reflect their experience in drawing and painting when preparing a picture cycle or in a painting concept or installation on an assigned theme. Their artistic gifts should be reflected in the diploma work preparation.

Assessment methods and criteria
