Learning outcomes of the course unit

Painting in an environment that is a direct counterpoint to atelier work also has a study purpose - realistic drawing and painting of a landscape. It is also an approach to new fine-art disciplines such as land art, body art, active painting etc.

In terms of sculpture it broadens the artistic experience by introducing free form and above all by working in a material (stone, wood).

Mode of study

  1. Introduction to the environment, history and the social-cultural climate of the area.
  2. Introduction to the use of material for the current task, its characteristics in the sense of the technical trade, with the necessary skills.
  3. One's creation and on-going consultations. Group colloquia and consultations.
  4. Presentation - exhibition, performance, digital recording.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Industriousness, creative enthusiasm.

Course contents

Curriculum:

  1. Learning how to use material in an instantaneous assignment. Its technical craftsmanship qualities.
  2. Own creative work and ongoing consultation.
  3. Output (exhibition, performance, digital record).

Syllabus:

The Plein Air subject brings new sources of inspiration to teaching and school activities which can enlarge the quality of approaches to set design projects. It also reinforces the feeling of continuity with new fine-art disciplines.

Credit is awarded based on diligence, creative enthusiasm and social adaptability.
