Learning outcomes of the course unit

The aim is teamwork on creating a staging where students take part in all functions of the staging team, from artistic and management to organizational and material provision in reprisals. The result and completion of the entire project is the adoption of theory and practice for stage work in all its elements and presentation of the subsequent piece. Considering the study aims the instructor from the beginning and throughout the entire piece pointing out possible differences in theatre practice with adults and children.

Independent artistic practice, workshop, group piece.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

Completion of the Introduction to Directing course

Further requirements for the student:

Independent work on a concept preparation - director's book.

Group work on a implementation staging.

Group work on one's stage form.

Course contents

Theatre Project II - Large drama writing

The original material is a classic drama writing. The work process in a manner is linked to working on the bachelor's project, only that it will be adapted to the character of the writing and extent of the project(s). The extent is to be about 20 to 30 minutes for each project.

First part of the project - concept (independent work at home)

The first part is individual consultations with the instructor in which the student (base on a previously determined schedule) consulting on the process of the work in completing a comprehensive staging project using the selected writing itself which will affect all plans for the projected staging.

The start of the second part of the project is adopting methods in practice in preparing a staging at all its levels, such as creative, organizational and technical.

The third part of the project - the staging - is devoted to the practical experience in staging.

The goal is teamwork on creating a staging where students take part in all functions of a staging team, from creative through managment to organizational and material provision for reprisals.

The completion of the entire project is to result in the adoption of theory and practice knowledge in all elements and a presentation of the resulting piece. Considerin the educational aims, the instructor, from the beginning and throughout the entire practice points out the potential differences in theatre work with adults and children.
