Learning outcomes of the course unit

The goal of the course is to systematically collect information about oneself and the personal analysis based on key methods of reflecting upon one's work given by the instructor.

  1. Students define themselves with the elements of a quality drama education/theater instructor.
  2. Students receive feedback regarding their socio-professional profile from classmates and reflect upon them.
  3. Students convey those comments in a simple form transfer to their practice.
  4. Students try/consolidate/develop, according to the needs of the group, selected personal and social skills necessary for performance in their profession.

Mode of study

Self-learning and self-reflecting activities; discussions; practical communication exercises; analysis of comments about one's self in comparison to Self-concept theory.

No prerequisites.

Course contents

A single-semester required course focused on the self-reflection of the future aesthetic- and artistic training instructor. In particular from the viewpoint of personal suppositions for practicing this profession and social skills related to performance.

  1. Reflections upon the concept of one's socio-professional „me“.
  2. Personal vividness.
  3. I, as a member of a group.
  4. I, as an instructor.
