Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course aim is to provide students with personal practical experience in the production of puppets and acquire fundamental skills and information about the technological procedures of production and materials available.

• Recognize individual types of puppets.
• Acquire experience in producing various types of puppets.
• Learn various technological procedures in puppet production.

Mode of study

Contact instruction, discussion, media recording example analyses, review of puppet stagings.

Prerequisites and co-requisites

This course is intended primarily for students who have completed the puppetry courses (Courses: Make-up/Puppets, Acting with Props and Puppets) and have the necessary craft skills.

One's own project completed beyond the study plan.

Course contents

A glimpse into the puppet producing process (carving, coating, modeling) through one's own experience in a workshop. The elective course content arises from the need and maturity of the students.
