Learning outcomes of the course unit
The purpose of instruction is to enable students to develop their management skills to be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a project, institution or team. The program uses all knowledge and experience, the students have acquired in study and practice.
We focus on skill that enable the students to:
- know their strengths in the role of a leader,
- find functional manners of managment according to the situation,
- use appropriate managment tools,
- find solutions for difficult situations and manage responsibilities connected to the leader position,
- manage crisis situation, conflicts and manipulation.
The basic program desire is to support student independent reasoning. We start from the idea that the student has sufficient knowledge and incentive and use these to apply them in practice.
The successfull course graduate expands manners of reasoning which enable them to effectively find and use their own management tools and manner. Upon completion of the course, students are able to use their strengths and acquired knowledge in practice and as well have tools available that allow them to continue to learn throughout their practice. They acquire habits which allow for further independent study.
Mode of study
Definition: interactive workshops in which the students, under instructor guidance, collaborate on the resolution of problem situations, find possible manners of their resolution and create their own theory and philosophy.
The foundation of instruction is working with case studies from the lives of students, the instructor and guests. Case situations is thought to be any situation which the student faces in their work or project team, ideally in a managment role, and resolves any problem area (communication, motivation, manipulation, authority, inspection, time-management).
Students, together, find appropriate resolutions to case studies. Student managment styles will be proven in the solving of particular situations and case studies.
Part of instruction is the use of guests from a number of professions who operate in recruitment and headhunting. This allows students, through their own experience, to become acquainted with the course of recruitment of qualified professionals.
Instruction i based on coaching and mentoring principles. Instruction originates in the needs (goals) of the students and is adapted to use real experience in their practice and, in instruction, to investigate new manners of resolving problems, tasks and challenges.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Students, at registration, accept the obligation of participation in workshop form and content.
No co-requisites.
Elective education elements recommended.
An advantage is practice, source problem situation which we can use in instruction. Space for acquiring knowledge to be applied and checked. Participation in project and work teams or management of such teams.

Assessment methods and criteria
Credit is awarded based on: attendance, workshop activity, completion of semestral paper and its presentation at the final workshop.
During the semester independent reading and workshop participation is required. Each participant must contribute at lease one of their own case studies (idea or entreprenurial intention, problem situation in curent projects, etc.).
Mandatory requirement for completing the course: personal participation in at least 80% of the class hours. If this condition is not fulfilled, credit will not be awarded.
